Why a Multivitamin Is a Collection of Conflicts
A multivitamin is not one active with a dose — it is fifteen to twenty-five actives that have to coexist in a single unit, and several of them actively work against each other. The formulation work is largely about separating incompatible actives in time or in physical space, and choosing a unit weight that can actually carry the mineral load your label claims.
Nutrient Conflicts
Iron and vitamin E oxidise in each other’s presence; calcium and magnesium compete for the same absorption route; vitamin C is acidic enough to degrade fragile nutrients. We design the separation in — in time or in physical space.
Format vs Mineral Load
Minerals are dense and bulky. A formula with meaningful calcium, magnesium and iron needs a large tablet or a powder — a gummy cannot carry the same load without becoming unpalatably large. Format and nutrient list are decided together, not sequentially.
Overage Arithmetic
Every nutrient degrades at its own rate. A blanket overage wastes money on stable nutrients and leaves unstable ones below their declared figure. We set overage nutrient by nutrient against measured stability data — and state the figures.
Formats We Run
Coated & Uncoated Tablets
High-load multivitamin and mineral tablets, with or without film coating for taste and swallowability.
Gummies
Children’s and adult multivitamin gummies, sugar-free and vegan routes available with the claim settled up front.
Hard & Veggie Capsules
Gelatin and vegetarian capsules for formulas that need a clean, fast-dissolving carrier.
Powders & Effervescents
Powders and effervescent formats for high mineral loads that a tablet cannot comfortably carry.
Liquids & Drops
Liquid and drop formats for paediatric and senior ranges where dosing flexibility matters.
Condition-Specific Variants
Prenatal, senior and sports variants scoped as their own projects rather than a generic multivitamin.
What We Check Before Release
Per-Nutrient Assay
Each declared nutrient is assayed individually on the finished unit — not inferred from the premix — because blending, compression and coating affect each one differently.
Content Uniformity
Uniformity is proven across the batch rather than on an averaged sample, which matters most for microgram-level actives like vitamin B12, biotin and selenium.
Dissolution
Dissolution is checked against the specification agreed at quotation, because a tablet that holds together too well releases its actives too slowly and fails its own label.
Nutrient-by-Nutrient Stability
Stability is tested under your actual pack — vitamin C degrades far faster than vitamin E, so a single shelf-life figure would hide that gap.
Sourcing and Specification Notes
Decide the Format First
The format constrains the nutrient list — the mineral load a tablet, gummy or powder can carry differs enormously, so settle it early.
Name the Destination Market
Market-specific reference intakes change the labelling and occasionally the formula, so the target market belongs in the brief from the first conversation.
Scope Prenatal Separately
Prenatal formulas carry extra regulatory expectations and a different nutrient profile, and should run as their own project rather than a multivitamin variant.
Settle Format & Claim Together
Sugar-free and vegan gummy routes change the matrix and the stability of fragile nutrients, so the format and the claim are decided side by side.
One Thing Buyers Get Wrong
The most common mistake is drafting the label first and then asking a manufacturer to fit it. A nutrient list can look modest on paper and be physically impossible in the chosen format, because the mineral load alone may exceed what a gummy or a small tablet can carry once the flavour, colour and gelling systems have taken their share of the unit weight. The cost of discovering this after artwork is a reformulation, a new label and a delay. We review the nutrient list against the intended format before any artwork is signed off, and we flag the conflict while it is still cheap to resolve.
Who This Serves: Parent-Approved Kids’ Lines
Kids’ supplements have two buyers — the child who has to like it and the parent who has to approve it, and the label is read line by line. The failures are usually about sugar, allergens, or a dose that was not actually scaled to a child. We build sugar-controlled, allergen-aware, dose-accurate kids’ multivitamins that stand up to a parent’s scrutiny, and we flag children’s maximum-intake rules before artwork.

What is the minimum order quantity for multivitamins?
MOQ is confirmed per format and specification at quotation stage. Unit weight, nutrient count, coating and packaging all move the figure — send us your target and we will quote exactly.
Can you fit my full nutrient list into a gummy?
Often, but not always. Minerals are dense and bulky, so a gummy can carry less mineral load than a tablet of the same size. We review the list against the format before artwork and tell you where the conflict is.
How do you handle nutrient interactions?
By separating incompatible actives in time or in physical space and by choosing a matrix that protects the more fragile nutrients. This is designed in at formulation stage rather than corrected later.
Do you apply overage to every nutrient?
Overage is set nutrient by nutrient against measured stability data, not as a blanket percentage. Some nutrients need none; others degrade quickly enough that a meaningful overage is the only way to hold the declared figure.
Can you make a prenatal multivitamin?
Yes, and we scope it as its own project because prenatal formulas carry a different nutrient profile and additional regulatory expectations compared with a general multivitamin.
How long does bulk production take?
We reply to enquiries within 24 hours and send a quotation within 48. Samples take 2-3 days, and standard bulk runs complete in 5–10 days with packaged goods leaving in 10–15 days.
DOSAGE FORMS
Which format should your Multivitamin product take?
The same Multivitamin blend can be delivered in several forms, and each one changes the fill weight, the taste profile and the tooling. We produce tablet, gummy and capsule in-house, so the choice is driven by your market rather than by what a third party can supply.
