Why the Carrier Is Half the Product

Vitamin D3 and K2 are both fat-soluble, so the carrier oil is half the product. Three decisions decide whether it holds potency to expiry.

The Carrier

D3 and K2 are both fat-soluble, so they must travel in a lipid carrier whose oxidative stability decides shelf-life potency. A softgel with a poorly chosen oil loses potency to oxidation before expiry — the most common technical failure in the category, and the one we design around first.

Which K2

MK-4 and MK-7 are different molecules with different half-lives, dose ranges and costs. MK-7 supports a once-daily premium format; MK-4 needs higher doses and suits specific channels. Both are legitimate — the label and schedule depend on which you choose.

Delivered Dose

A softgel has a fixed fill weight that is easy to verify. A dropper or spray depends on the consumer delivering a consistent volume, so concentration needs margin and the pack must deliver reliably. We test the delivered dose from the finished pack, not the concentrate.

Formats We Run

Softgels

oil fill, 1–2 softgels per serving, the most common and most stable format

Liquid drops

10–1,000 ml with a calibrated dropper, highest dosing risk and needs delivered-dose testing

Chewables and gummies

4 g unit weight as standard, 400–2,000 IU D3 per piece, requires an emulsified system

Tablets

compressed with a spray-dried or coated D3/K2 premix, up to 4,000 IU

Oral spray

20–100 mg, delivers a fixed metered dose and suits a travel or convenience position

Solid beverage

5–30 g sachets for a fortified drink format

Uniformity of content across the batch

Uniformity of content across the batch, which is critical at the very low actives load this product uses

One Thing Buyers Get Wrong

Choosing the carrier oil on price. A cheaper oil with poorer oxidative stability costs more in the end, because the potency assay fails before the declared shelf life and the batch is written off or the claim is reduced. Assuming a dropper bottle delivers its labelled dose. Consumer-delivered volume varies, so a drop or spray format needs a concentration margin and delivered-dose testing. A softgel does not have this problem. Specifying a D3 dose without checking the market upper limit. Several markets cap the permitted daily D3 amount. We check the destination before the artwork is built, not after a listing is rejected.

Popular Formulas We Run

D3 and K2 are sold together almost by default — the dose ratio is the decision.

Bone + Heart

D3 2,000–5,000 IU with 100–200 mcg MK-7 in an oil-based softgel.

D3K2 + Magnesium

D3, K2 and magnesium together for a complete bone-and-mineral stack.

Immune Season

D3 and K2 with iodine for a winter-positioned daily capsule.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order quantity for D3+K2 softgels?

MOQ is confirmed per format and specification at quotation stage. Potency, oil carrier, softgel size and packaging all affect the figure — send us the target and we will quote exactly.

Do you supply MK-7 or MK-4?

Both. MK-7 is the more common choice for a once-daily premium position because of its longer half-life, and it costs more per unit of activity than MK-4. We will price both so you can decide.

Which oil do you use as the carrier?

The carrier is chosen for oxidative stability and mouthfeel. We will show you the stability data for the oil we propose, because the carrier determines whether your potency claim survives to the expiry date.

Can you make a D3+K2 gummy?

Yes, at 400–2,000 IU D3 per 4 g piece, using an emulsified system. Fat-soluble actives in a gummy need the emulsion to be built properly or the potency distribution becomes uneven across the batch.

How do you verify the dose in a dropper bottle?

We test delivered dose from the finished pack rather than from the concentrate, and we build a concentration margin because consumer-delivered volume varies. This is the highest-risk format in the category.

How long does bulk production take?

We reply to enquiries within 24 hours and send a quotation within 48. Samples take 2-3 days, and standard bulk runs complete in 5–10 days with packaged goods leaving in 10–15 days.

DOSAGE FORMS

Which format should your Vitamin D3 K2 product take?

The same Vitamin D3 K2 blend can be delivered in several forms, and each one changes the fill weight, the taste profile and the tooling. We produce softgel and liquid dropper in-house, so the choice is driven by your market rather than by what a third party can supply.
