Liquid Supplements — OEM & Private Label

Product listings for this dosage form are being prepared. In the meantime, tell us the actives and pack count you have in mind and we will quote a custom programme.

Talk to us about your formula

Liquids offer the fastest absorption and the easiest route to high doses without swallowing pills — a decisive advantage for children, seniors and anyone who struggles with capsules. From syrups and tonics to shots and drops-in-bottle, liquid formats let you build a distinctive, premium-feeling product. Hubogen formulates and fills liquids in-house, including hot-fill and preservative-free systems.

Why brands choose liquids

  • Fast uptake — dissolved actives are absorbed quickly and efficiently.
  • High dose, small volume — deliver large amounts of actives in a teaspoon.
  • Accessible — ideal for children, seniors and pill-averse consumers.
  • Great for flavours — fruit, botanical and honey bases taste pleasant.
  • Premium presentation — tinted glass or PET with dropper or pump dispenser.

Specification range

We produce water-based syrups, oil-based liquids, emulsions, tinctures and shots. Pack formats span 10 ml single-shot bottles up to 1 L multi-serve bottles, with dropper, pump, spray or measuring-cup closures. pH, viscosity, sweetness and preservation system are all set per formula. For oil-based lines we also support MCT and olive-oil carriers. Volume and closure are customised to your market.

Typical applications

Multivitamin syrups, vitamin D3 drops, iron tonics, elderberry and immune syrups, herbal tinctures such as echinacea and valerian, omega-3 liquid, beauty-from-within collagen drinks, sleep and relaxation tonics, and single-serve wellness shots.

Format at a glance

  • Bases: water, oil, emulsion or tincture.
  • Volume: 10 ml shot up to 1 L multi-serve.
  • Closures: dropper, pump, spray or measuring cup.
  • Preservation: preservative-free or naturally preserved systems.
  • Packaging: amber or clear glass, PET, with custom labels.

What decides whether a liquid project runs smoothly

Liquids are decided by physical chemistry rather than by filling: whether the formula can stay uniform, stay safe and stay pleasant to take.

  • Solution, suspension or emulsion — a solution needs no shaking; the other two do, and that has to be said on the label. Choose with the label in front of you.
  • Preservation against pH — the preservative system is selected against the pH of the finished product. Change the flavour or the acid level and the preservation decision has to be revisited.
  • Taste masking — this is the limiting factor in most liquid projects. Some actives cannot be masked at a required dose, and it is cheaper to learn that at sample stage.
  • Dosing accuracy — a pump, a cup or a dropper each give a different tolerance. Dosing is part of the specification, not an accessory.
  • Freezing and heat in transit — a liquid that separates or cracks in transit is a project that arrives already failing.

Sourcing and specification notes

  • Single-serve shots need a different preservation and packaging approach from a multi-serve bottle.
  • Hot-fill, cold-fill and retort each suit different actives, and the choice is made at specification stage.
  • Sugar-free and reduced-sugar systems change both mouthfeel and preservation.
  • Clarity and colour drift are visible quality signals in a liquid — a drink that clouds over time reads as spoiled.
  • Very acidic systems need a compatible liner and closure to avoid off-notes through shelf life.
  • Shipping weight makes liquid expensive to move, so pack size should be chosen against the delivered cost per serving.

What we check before a liquid batch is released

Every run leaves the plant against a written release protocol rather than a visual inspection. We measure the critical physical parameters across the whole batch, because a product that starts the run on spec and drifts by the end is an inconsistency problem even when the average looks correct. Uniformity is checked on the finished unit, not just on the bulk blend, so what your customer opens matches what we tested.

Moisture, hardness or viscosity — whichever governs your format — is checked against the specification agreed at quotation stage. Heat-sensitive actives are processed at a temperature set against the ingredient, not against the line's convenience, and where an active sits near the limit of what the format tolerates we say so before the batch rather than after the assay.

Stability behaviour is verified on the finished pack so that month-three behaviour is known before shipment. The retained sample is held so your reorder can be matched on appearance, texture and fill weight rather than on the label alone.

Packaging and shelf life for liquids

Packaging is chosen against your channel: bottles and jars for retail and e-commerce, pouches, sachets and stick packs for single-serve and subscription models, bulk supply for brands that fill and label in their own market. The closure and the barrier matter as much as the container, because most shelf-life failures are moisture or oxygen ingress through the pack rather than a fault in the product.

Shelf life is stated on your specification sheet and confirmed against the stability data for the specific formulation rather than quoted as a general rule for the format. Storage guidance travels with the COA so your warehouse and your end customer handle the product the same way.

Procurement notes for first-time buyers

A supplement programme usually fails on the details nobody wrote down, not on the dosage form itself. The buyers we work with who move fastest are the ones who bring four things to the first call: the target market, the actives and their dosages, the pack count they intend to sell, and the label claim they want to make. With those four in hand we can name a formulation route, a batch size and a lead time on the same call. Without them, every answer becomes a range and every quote becomes provisional.

Three habits separate smooth programmes from expensive ones. First, sample before you commit: a pre-production sample validates taste, texture, dissolution and shelf behaviour far more cheaply than a rejected bulk run. Second, freeze the artwork before the batch starts, because a packaging change mid-run resets the line and can reset the lead time with it. Third, ask for the specification sheet and COA at quotation stage rather than at shipment, so your own regulatory review runs in parallel with production instead of behind it.

Documentation travels with every order: certificate of analysis, material safety data sheet, specification sheet and free artwork support for your own logo. Certification support covers HACCP, ISO 22000, HALAL, cGMP and US FDA Food Facility Registration. Because formulation, filling, packaging and QC all sit inside our own plants in Zhengzhou, there is no handoff between vendors and no split accountability when a question needs an answer.

If you are comparing suppliers, the useful test is not the headline price but how each one answers the awkward questions — what happens if the fill weight drifts, who owns the shell or coating decision, how long a reorder actually takes. Send us your specification and we will answer those directly, in writing, before you place anything.
