Powders deliver doses that would be impossible in a capsule — 5 g of creatine, 20 g of protein or a full electrolyte blend — in a format that mixes instantly and tastes great. They are the backbone of sports nutrition, hydration and functional food. Hubogen blends, fills and seals powders in-house for jar, pouch, sachet and stick-pack programmes. As a supplement powder manufacturer, Hubogen provides custom powder OEM for jar, pouch, sachet and stick-pack formats.

Why brands choose powders

  • High dose capability — no upper limit imposed by shell or tablet size.
  • Fast absorption — dissolved actives reach the bloodstream quickly.
  • Flexible organoleptics — sweeteners, flavours, colours and mouthfeel fully customisable.
  • Strong margin — low filling cost relative to perceived value.
  • Multiple pack formats — jars, doypacks, sachets and single-serve stick packs.

Format at a glance

  • Pack — 5 g sachet / stick pack up to 1–2 kg jar or pouch.
  • Sweeteners — sugar, allulose, stevia, sucralose, monk fruit.
  • Flavours — full range, custom-matched to your brief.
  • Options — instantised, agglomerated or granulated.
  • Services — single-serve sampling kits.

Specification range

We fill from single-serve 5 g sachets and stick packs up to 1 kg and 2 kg jars and pouches. Bulk density, particle size and flowability are tuned per formula so the powder scoops cleanly and dissolves without clumping. Sweeteners and acidulants are customisable; fill weight is set by your serving size.

Typical applications

Creatine monohydrate, whey and plant proteins, BCAA and EAA blends, pre-workout and pump formulas, electrolyte and hydration powders, collagen peptides, greens and superfood blends, mushroom and adaptogen powders, and meal-replacement shakes.

What decides whether a project runs smoothly

  • Bulk density and scoop weight — the scoop is sized to the finished blend; density changes when the formula changes.
  • Blend segregation — actives of different particle sizes separate during filling and transport.
  • Flowability and flavour — a blend that tastes good can still flow badly; test, don’t assume.
  • Packaging format — stick packs give unit-dose control; jars give lower unit cost.
  • Hygroscopic ingredients — the barrier film decides the shelf life.

Sourcing and specification notes

  • Serving size drives everything — a 25 g serving means a large scoop, a big tub and a different cost structure.
  • Bulk density varies between lots, so fill settings are adjusted per lot and scoop weight verified.
  • Flavour systems are harder than ready-to-drink because the powder must wet and disperse cleanly.
  • Hygroscopic actives cake; an anti-caking agent and a moisture barrier are usually required.
  • Tub, pouch and stick-pack each need a different fill system, affecting minimum batch.

Quality and shelf life

Powders are released against weight uniformity, moisture and dispersion — checked on the finished pack, not just the bulk blend. Scoop weight is measured rather than calculated, because bulk density drifts between lots. Shelf life is confirmed per formulation; most failures are moisture ingress through the pack, so the barrier matters as much as the product.
